A quick look at recent adventures…
JUST RELEASED: DECEPTION BAY by Chris Patchell (fiction). “She’s armed. He’s dangerous. Together, can they stop a killer from tearing a small island community apart?”
CURRENTLY NARRATING: THE 21ST CENTURY MAN by Judson Brandeis MD. “60 board-certified doctors and men’s health experts offer advice and insider secrets that men over 35 need to recover and maintain their physical, mental, and sexual health to feel great, look good, and have better intimacy.”
FIRST CLUBHOUSE: I jumped into the AUDIOBOOKS room to discuss narrator websites with Ana Clements and Anna Caputo. Great questions and was happy to chat more about best practices and ideas. It was actually the first time I spoke on that platform, though I have attended a number of rooms.
JOINED PANA: The Professional Audiobook Narrators Association has recently been formed and I’m proud to be a beginning member. I’ve also joined the Communications Committee and Website Subcommittee.
And a little travel fun…
While I can’t wait to get back to international travel, I’ve been fortunate to take a couple trips this past year to Hawaii: to the Big Island and then Oahu—picture below of Laniakea Beach, aka “Turtle Beach” for the ones that rest there onshore. We actually found a different beach where we snorkeled (pretty much just by ourselves!) around three large turtles feeding for 30-45 mins. Very cool to see!
What made both trips even more enjoyable was the app Shaka Guides; these are audio tours for all the islands that use your GPS to give you specific cultural, historical, and tourist info based on what you’re seeing and where you are! As they say: great stories, avoid the crowds, explore like a local, and total freedom. Highly recommended!

I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to and any other comments you have – leave a note below!
More ahead! Be well and keep in touch!
