Audio Ventures: Live Narration on Clubhouse, 21st Man continues, and 1 Year Later for Icy Cape

A quick look at recent adventures…

LIVE NARRATION ON CLUBHOUSE: Join me most weeknights for “Night Owl Narration” (my new show, ha!) to listen to me narrate my current book LIVE. Usually starts around 11:30 pm PT and goes for an hour or so—when it’s quiet enough to get work done! Follow me here and The Audiobook Studio for notifications when it happens. If you’re unfamiliar with Clubhouse, it’s audio-only and available as an app.

Icy Cape 1 Year Later

DEFINITELY STILL NARRATING (30+ hours!): THE 21ST CENTURY MAN by Judson Brandeis MD. “60 board-certified doctors and men’s health experts offer advice and insider secrets that men over 35 need to recover and maintain their physical, mental, and sexual health to feel great, look good, and have better intimacy.” I’m about halfway through the narration!

RELEASED 1 YEAR AGO: ICY CAPE by my grandfather John V. Griffin (fiction). “Welcome to coldest part of the Cold War. Follow Quinn and his team through their adventures of working at this remote radar station in the early 1960s. Faulty equipment, local wildlife, and the weather are just some of the obstacles these men must overcome to survive.”

Eagle Rock Hike, December 2021

And outside of the booth…

We found a nice hike past Julian, CA that had been recommended—Eagle Rock, which intersects with the Pacific Crest Trail.

I really enjoyed that there were different types of landscapes through the hike (forest, desert, etc), and the views around—though not peaks—were great.

And this looked like it’d be a cool photo, but I never could have gotten the dog to time his head like that!

Bonus: on the way home, though we missed out on a slice of Julian Pie, we did find an amazing BBQ spot with generous portions! A bit too close to home that it could become dangerous… 😋

I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to and any other comments you have – leave a note below!

More ahead! Be well and keep in touch!
