Audio Ventures: 4 new audiobooks, 10 in ’20, and 5 years later!
I was very grateful (especially with everything going on) to look back and see I narrated 10 books last year. This nearly doubled my entire portfolio and was by far and away the most books I have recorded (so far) in one year.
Audio Ventures: recently narrated and upcoming, new service, workshop, and Instagram readings!
We took a road trip up California 395 to South Lake Tahoe, where hiking, sledding, puzzles, and crackling fires ensued. We even saw a bear close by on a trail! Thanksgiving was, like for most of us, at home and quiet, but we made a full feast with chicken and all the fixins!
Audio Ventures: books finished, phone banking, cops, and the machine stops!
Another busy month! Lots of narrating (juggling four different projects), learned quite a bit at Johnny Heller’s virtual workshop!, quick weekend road trip to see family (outside and from a distance), and phone banking weekly to battleground states ahead of the November election! Talked to lots of great people in spots like TX, CO, OH, FL, and NV!
Audio Ventures: 3 books, a workshop, and a radio play
This past month has been mostly filled with narrating, which is great! I recently joked with another narrator that not only do you learn the craft, you then have to learn how to *do* the work every day. Time management and endurance are key!
Audio Ventures: 2 releases, next workshop, and narration queue!
And here we are in September already! In addition to everything else, I’ve continued to work with Shannon Parks on fiction narration, and I also produced an online Shakespeare workshop with veteran and rookie actors! No moss growing over here.

It’s been a very busy month; in addition to everything below, I learned how to juggle! It’s not a skill I thought I’d pick up anytime soon, but a friend put together a free 5-day course that made it attainable! I’ve certainly not mastered it (gotta work on toss consistency!), but I’m really thrilled with […]
Audio Ventures: Big Bear, Apple, and teaching!
How has your summer been so far? Not exactly what we were expecting this year, I know. For a break, I went on a short road trip for my first visit to Big Bear Lake, getting in some much-needed (socially-distanced) hiking! In fact, on one of the trails there was no one around for miles! […]
Audio Ventures: 2 books and an article!
How are you holding up through everything? As if the shelter-in-place pandemic wasn’t enough, we now find ourselves in a long overdue tidal wave of social change. It’s pretty remarkable how quickly things mobilize and spread. We all have a long road ahead of us, and I plan to do what I can to educate […]
